Our Philosophy

Kolya was founded on the principles of purity; efficacy; and ethical treatment of humans, animals, and the earth. We believe that true beauty must come from a place of wholistic health.

We favour products made from natural, plant-based ingredients that are wild harvested, organic, and when possible, biodynamic. No product we carry has been tested on animals. Ever, ever.

Where it is ethically acceptable to us, we also carry select products containing ingredients that are synthesized or isolated from a natural source (for instance, vitamin B, limonene from orange peel, or decyl glucoside from corn sugars).

We are specialists in botanical medicine, nutrition, aromatherapy, flower essences, and other natural methods of healing, and use our experience and expertise to carefully handpick products that reflect our commitment to wholistic health. We research our raw ingredients and skincare lines diligently (label-scrutiny is a passion around here!) and gladly share what we know and welcome all questions. If we are unable to answer upon asking, we will find the answers for you.

We only carry products we have tried ourselves and love, or have been requested by our loyal customers who feel a specific product is sublime.

We are committed to helping our customers make inspired, informed decisions about the products they use to care for their bodies. Every product we stock includes a full ingredient list.

We also want you to know that every product you see on our shelves is free of harmful ingredients like parabens, petrochemicals, phthalates, sulphates, or synthetic fragrances + dyes.  For us, this has always been the case.
